(#nt) don't follow if:
- you use anti-neurodivergence slurs (this includes using "autistic" as an insult)
- you complain more about "sjws" than hate speech and crimes
- you espouse "git gud" gaming culture and other forms of "mistakes are bad and you should not be having to learn from mistakes"
I'm ray. they/he (note order).
My interests include (but are not limited to):
#shmups / scrollshooters
#rhythmgames / #音ゲー, including #bemani, #groovecoaster, and #maimai (if I ever get to play it)
#arcadegames, past and present
#Tetris (mainly #tgm_series)
If I follow you already, I will allow a followback.
If not, if you seem decent I can give you the benefit of the doubt and let you join.
a little rant about Catholic Filipino culture - LGBT-phobia and Jesus mentions
I'm that asshole amongst the extended family I have on FB (I have my parents blocked) who shares pro-LGBT+ shit because I value treating non-cishet people with respect over posting about Jesus "never actually said anything that's pro-queer or pro-trans in particular" Christ every day.
Uber and Lyft, trust, personal safety (especially for women)
A lot of tips on Uber/Lyft safety going around and they involve asking the driver questions to confirm if it's the driver assigned to them
Just remember: if the driver whines about being asked questions like "who are you here to pick up" etc, then even if they are the correct driver, they're not to be trusted.
la croix, rant, bandwagons
i really wish the whole meme of shitting on la croix would die already, i know it's not for everyone but as someone who's proud to have quit soda after having drank like 3 cans of it daily as a teenager, i'm glad that sparkling water exists to fulfill my carbonated drink wants
i've said "don't use 'autistic' as an insult" in the past and tbh it's just not worth saying anymore because the people who do this have already firmly planted themselves in the idea that autistic and other ND people are aberrations on society
and i'd rather just cut those nt'ists off because they will die on that hill
Like I'm sorry but as someone who grew up in a Catholic family and had to deal with people mocking me for following Lent shenanigans (fasting, Ash Wednesday forehead crosses, etc), I have no patience for people who will just make fun of those for following the rituals without understanding that some people who follow them only do so because people in positions of power over them make them do it
you don't have to turn this into a cringe comedy.
your opinions on whether there's a higher power out there and following religious practices that one doesn't agree with are not relevant here.
just accept the "i don't want meat", period, and be open to negotiating alternatives; everyone wins that way.
please also consider people who follow lent dietary restrictions not because they actually believe, but because they live with parents who force them to go through with it.
"but they can just lie about not eating meat!" how they cope with differences in faith between themselves and their parents is none of your business as well.
so lent is a thing and annual reminder that if it's ash wednesday, a friday until easter (like right now), or the very saturday before easter, you're with friends, and food gets involved, please respect friends who refuse to have meat. heck, don't even ask if it's for lent, just respect them the same way you respect people who have dietary restrictions for secular reasons.
