Do you guys remember the movie Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri that movie sucked fucking dick I got so mad about that movie

@bigegg how come? I thought some of it was fine. They burned down a police station which was cool

@Aleums I felt like the underlying theme of that movie wasn’t anti-racist or anti-cop or anything it seemed like it was trying to say like “have empathy for the violent racists uwu maybe they get sad too” also the screenplay sucked the whole thing felt like some British dude’s bad take on American politics and race. I didn’t like it lol

@bigegg totally fair criticism. I thought some of the acting was good but it did feel edgy without actually having a real point.

@Aleums oh yeah I love frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell a lot and they did great

@bigegg @Aleums I'm honestly sick of how much our culture pushes "but what about the racists' feelings?!"
like yes jesus christ they're human beings and are exhibiting human flaws okay, can i still dislike them

@zoey @bigegg @Aleums

If my gramp gramp started goin off the racist deep end I'd be like "Hey calm your wrinkly ass down 50 pegs you crotchety old bastard" not "Well, Gramp Gramp has the right to be a bastard so I'll just let him".

@zoey @Aleums everyone thinks they are so subversive and smart for making a sympathetic bigot character but I feel like they usually do it in such a shallow way, it’s like “what if this bad racist was only human and got sad and therefore good kind of :)” like empathy is powerful yeah but also literally everyone who does terrible things is only human. Ok. Now what. Like way to go flexing your empathy for cops on us you’re so woke, who cares.
